Tonight, during Care Bear's goodnight prayer, she stopped mid-prayer to inform me that we needed to say, "Dear God..." tonight instead of "Dear Jesus". When I inquired as to why we needed to do that, this was her response:"Because Jesus can't hear us tonight, Mommy. He's walking down a street with a cross on his back and thorns on his head."
This Mama, needless to say, was speechless. After we continued the prayer to God instead of to Jesus, she ended the prayer by saying, "Have fun in Heaven tonight, Jesus. Amen."

Oh, my precious Care Bear. The other day we were reading library Easter books. I said, "You, know, don't you, that these books about bunnies and eggs aren't the real Easter story, don't you? The real story is about Jesus rising from the grave." "Oh, no, Grandma," she says, "Jesus rose from the DEAD!"

OK, that knife flying out of the disposal almost stopped my heart. Oh my word, how scary that must have been. Thank goodness you had an angel on your shoulder.
And I'm with you. If Blake gets voted off AI and that crazy totally not talented peacock boy is still there, I'm done, too.
I simply do not get it. No matter how many twelve year old girls there are in this country, Sanjaya should NOT be in this group of talented people. Blake should make it to the final two in my opinion and given the choice between him and Melinda Doolittle, I guarantee you he'd get my vote.
I'm sitting here wishing the weather would be better for Sunday, then came across your Care Bear's words, and all is well, all is well. What a comfort it is, knowing she understands what Easter's about.
Just goes to show how great a mama you are! Amazing how much she loves the Lord!
